Our Mission

We have been married for over 23 years and we know first hand how having God in the center of our marriage has helped us with our marriage and with our family!

Our Mission

We live in the North Georgia Mountains and have retired from our “day” jobs. We are both very active in our local church and enjoy serving. We earnestly seek to help others by brining God’s glory to all marriages. Everything we talk about is from personal testimony or from sharing the testimonies of others.

Our prayer is that through Marriage Sanctified, others will encounter authentic marriage strengthening tools through transparent testimony. We hope to encourage couples to grow in their vertical relationship with the Lord, study God’s word and step into the biblical marital roles designed by God.

We hope others can learn to find joy in the struggles of marriage, just as we have, knowing that God is sanctifying each of us through every struggle.

As you progress through your marriage, you will see how God’s Word provides a roadmap with directions for your marriage. These verses should become guidelines for your own marriage and we encourage you to study them.

Ephesians 5:21-33:

And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.  No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. And we are members of his body.

As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Mark 10:9: “Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”

Genesis 2:24: “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh”

Ecclesiastes 4:9: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.”
